The Provenzano family has a long history in the restaurant and food
business industry. They have been bringing quality fresh food to the
Southwest for many years. It all started a long time ago, when Grandma
Vicky opened her first restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Then, in 1982,
Mike Provenzano Sr. started a very successful “Super Mercado” in the rich
valleys of Southern California. And now in the twenty first century, the
authentic Mexican cuisine “Tradiciones” is born in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mike Provenzano Sr. with his oldest son Michael perfected the always fresh, authentic food concept in the early 1990’s. Then, Mike’s other sons, Steve, Rick and Jeff joined the family business bringing new fresh food ideas, expert management skills and new technological advancements. As a result, Pro’s Ranch Markets was formed and the family rapidly opened “Mercado’s” in California’s Central Valley of Bakersfield. With the success of the families low prices in a warm family environment, the Provenzano’s expanded into the Southwest opening Ranch Markets through out Arizona and beyond. The Provenzano’s “Always Fresh” concept earned them the “Arizona Retailer of the Year in 2004” and quickly became one of the fastest growing Hispanic food stores in the country.
In 2006,“Tradiciones” the authentic Mexican cuisine restaurant, with
recipes from the antique Haciendas was created.“Tradiciones” was
designed and built to reflect the beauty of old town Mexico, with its colorful
plaza, ceramic décor and refreshing water fountains. The outdoor plaza is an
entertainment dream, filled with live mariachi music, clowns for the children,
and kiosks for the shoppers. Once inside the large dining room, the appetizing
smell of carne asada, fresh tortillas and a variety of salsas is prepared right
before your eyes. If you’re in the mood for dancing, our DJ will be mixing a variety of music
in our state of the art banquet facility. “Tradiciones” is not just a place to eat; rather it is an entertainment destination. From the Provenzano Family to your Family - Enjoy “Tradiciones”!
